Rimmed London nail polish

I love these nail polishes.  This is Rimmel London 60 seconds in 311 Caramel Cupcake.  This particular polish is so opaque that you could get away with one coat.  They are not lying when they say 60 seconds either.  It dries so fast.  I applied 2 coats and then also went in with my favorite top coat Out The Door.   Both of these products dry super fast.  I love this color because it is such a classy blush color.  This top coat makes my nails so shiny.  I recommend both!

Younique pigments

This is a look using Younique pigments in Infatuated and Sexy.  Just the two colors and I have a nice look. They blended amazingly.  I don't normally go for pigments but these were not messy or difficult to work with.  I put Infatuated in the crease and used Sexy all over the lid. It has a bit of sparkle but not over the top.
If you are interested in purchasing Younique products please contact my friend Michelle Rodanhisler.

A look using my Lorac Unzipped pallet and review!!

I LOVE THIS PALLET!  I can't get enough of this thing.  The shadows are amazing quality and blend beautifully.  I love the rose tones for fall and am planning on using this a ton.  I used the color undercover all over the lid and up to the brow bone, unconditional in the crease, and unbelievable on the lid.
The Behind the Scenes Eye Primer that comes with this pallet is also one of the best I have ever used.  I did my makeup at 2pm and it lasted until I washed my face the next morning at 7am. (I work nights)
The rest of the face: Revlon photo ready foundation/Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder, Benefit Hoola Bronzer, L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara, Wet N Wild Eye Brow Kit, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Pallet.

August 2014 Glossybox subscription first impression and review

This is my first Glossy Box.  I show you what I received in my August Box and my first impressions of the subscription.

    Maybelline Face Studio Master Hi-Light

I have two the these Maybelline blushes and I think they are amazing.  I love the colors because not only do they give you a great blush color but they hi-light at the same time.  They are not sparkly or glittery.  They have an amazingly sophisticated glow.

The first color that I have is Pink Rose.  The particular blush is highly pigmented and I have to use a light hand with it.  If I don't go overboard it gives my cheeks a beautiful youthful flush with a luminosity that looks like it's coming from within.

The second color I have is Nude.  This shade is my favorite of the two.  I love it because it is such a natural blush color.  I don't have to be as careful with this once even though it is just as pigmented.  This color is just easier to work with and I feel it would be amazing on any skin tone.  It also gives that lit from within look.

Overall I think these are great and highly recommend them!!!

You can pick these blushes up at Ulta and here is the link:

    Running Benefits Tips & Tricks

Running is an amazing activity.  I have been running for 13 years.  It has helped me through some very hard times in life as well as kept me fit.  I just want to share my personal experiences, tips, and tricks if you are interested in starting.

    Benefits:

There are so many benefits from running.

Exercise in general can help your overall mental state.  Even when you are feeling terrible and fatigued, if you get up and moved and get your endorphins flowing you will feel better.   Endorphins are among the brain chemicals known as neurotransmitters, which function to transmit electrical signals within the nervous system.  Endorphins decrease feelings of pain, help regulate appetite, enhance immunity, and relieve stress.  This basically means that anytime you get your endorphins flowing it means great things for your body.  When I am very stressed out I like to work out.  I normally run.  This helps me clear my mind and if I listen to music I only think about that music or the running.  I try to leave the rest "at home".  Running also helps keep depression away.

Physically running keeps your body and heart in great shape.  Cardiovascular exercise is the best way to keep a healthy heart (along with proper diet of course).  It can improve lung health.  It has been proven to prevent stroke, heart attack, and breast cancer.  It can help prevent diabetes and to improve diabetes if you already have it.  You also are able to burn so many calories while running.  Normally the average is about 100 calories per mile.  This enables you to stay looking fit too!

    My tips:

Running is easy because the only equipment you need are shoes.  I started out running only 1/2 mile every 2 or 3 days.  I did this for a long time until I could build up distance.  I have never been out for speed.   I always recommend to new runners that they start out very short distances.  It is never beneficial for you to go out and run 3 miles on your first day.  You will end up sore for 5 days and you cannot get your body used to running that way.  Our bodies need to build endurance slowly.  Also, remember you need rest days for your muscles to recover from any strenuous activity.  After finally working up to 3 miles I decided to enter into my first 5K.  I have been hooked ever since.  I have ran many 5K races, 10K races, and 1 unlimited distance race.  You can do anything you put your mind to as long as you are enjoying yourself.  I think that as soon as you make it work then you will lose interest.  I have never entered a race that I would have to train night and day for.  I am able to run 10 miles comfortably.  I know that I could not enter a marathon tomorrow without it becoming a chore.  This is one of the reasons I have never entered one.  I just don't want my "me time" to become work.
You can also run no matter what your endurance level.  I ran during my pregnancy.  As I grew larger I just ran slower.  I walked during my last month and then started running again 4 weeks after giving birth.  I started out slow and worked my way back up to full endurance.

Bottom line...I love running and I think anyone can do it.  No matter what your level it's for you and no one else.  It doesn't matter if you run 1/2 mile or 10 miles, as long as you love it and it makes you happy!!!

Accutane-a prescription acne treatment update and review

I wanted to give you all an update on my experience with Accutane.  I am now finished with the 5 month treatment.  I have been done with the medication for about 1.5 months.

All of the dry skin/lip/eye issues have completely gone away.  I have been using facial moisturizers for normal to dry skin and they have been working wonderfully.  I did get a lot of nose bleeds during my use of this medication (at least once daily).  This has gone away as well.

I still have not used any kind of acne prone facial cleansers/lotions/treatments.  Amazingly I now have clear amazing skin.

I have not experienced any breakouts anywhere on my body.  I used to get them on my back/chest/neck/face.  I have not had a pimple in months (not even hormonal breakouts yet.)

I do not notice any oiliness like I used to get in the T-zone area of my face.

I was and still am very sensitive to the sun.  I use 50+SPF and still get sunburned when out in the sun for 30 minutes at a time.  I have to reapply frequently.  I am hoping and have been reassured by my doctor that this will subside.

So far I am so happy with the results.  It was a tedious process.  It was costly and time consuming but it was well worth it all.  I could not be happier with the results.  I am never self conscious about my acne issues anymore because I don't have any!  If you were thinking of trying this and have the means to do so I highly recommend it!!!!!!!

If you didn't see my original post on the medication and are interested check out the link below.  I explain what the medication is and how the entire process works.

    See By Chloe

Let me just start by saying that this perfume is amazing!  I has quickly become one of my favorite scents.  I would like to give you a background of the fragrances I usually like.  I normally like very sweet or musky scents.  I get headaches very easily when fragrances are too floral.  This seems to be a perfect in-between scent for me.  It smells floral but also fruity to me.  I love the way it smells straight out of the bottle and they way it smells when it has been on my skin for a while.  I think it has a good lasting power.  When I apply it in the morning I still get subtle hints of it in the afternoon.  I would reapply after that.
Perfumes smell different on different people but I'm loving this one so far.

    Notes:Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Vanilla, Musk.

Here is where you can buy it from Sephora like I did:
    http://www.sephora.com/seebychloe-P377778?skuId=1491232

    Benefit Hoola Bronzer

This is a great bronzer.  It is a light brown bronzer with little to no orange tint.  It is completely matt.  It is packaged in an adorable box and comes with a natural bristle brush.  I don't use this brush but it would be nice for travel if you don't bring anything else.  I just use a contour brush or a powder brush depending on what kind of a look I want.  This is a great bronzer for contouring the face.  It has the perfect tone to create a nice shadow and never looks orange.  I have fair skin and this works amazing for me.  I also use it for an all over bronzy glow and to warm up my complexion.  I never have a problem with it looking cakey and it blends like a dream.  The pigmentation is amazing.  I work 12 hour nights and I usually apply makeup even earlier than that; it lasts all night long.  I would say at least 16 hours without breaking up and looking splotchy.

Overall I think this is a great bronzer because it is versatile.  I would highly recommend checking it out.

I bought mine at Ulta.  Here is a link:

A look using my It pallet

Here is the finished look using my It pallet. I am starting to play around with it more and I love the pigmentation of these shadows.
If you are interested in recreating this look I used the colors sunrise and sunset in the crease, java on the outer V and at my upper lash line, love all over the lid, and transforming pearl under my brows and the inner v.
For the rest of the face I used my It cosmetics CC cream, Maybelline age rewind concealer, Milani Luminoso blush, Benefit Hoola bronzer, and L'Oréal Voluminous Full Definition mascara.

You can purchase this pallet here from Ulta:

Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer

This is an amazing concealer.  If you watch beauty videos on YouTube then I'm sure you have heard the rave reviews about this product.
I am someone with very dry under eyes.  This makes things very difficult when looking for an under eye concealer to deal with my dark circles.  I am also almost 30...don't tell anyone...so I have fine lines under there as well.  This concealer has moisturizing properties so it never looks dry or cakey.  I always use it after an eye cream and it stays put all day (I'm talking 12-14 hour days).  I also use this on my eye lids on days that I don't wear eye shadow to cancel out any veins and redness I may have.  It works amazing for that too.  I have also tried it as an eye shadow primer but did not enjoy it that way.  I have fairly oily eyelids that crease easily so I need a primer that is pretty much made for that purpose.  It also never settles into my fine lines or makes my look older than I am!  I use mine in the color light on days that I am wearing minimal makeup.  If I am going to have a full face of foundation on then I will use the brightener shade (which is pink).  This also doubles as an all over highlighter.  I will bring it down in a "V" under my eyes, on my forehead, and my nose.  It all depends on the day.  It blends in very nicely using my fingers or a beauty blender.  I love this product and fully recommend it to everyone.  As long as they have a color to match your skin I think it would work for anyone.

What's in my travel makeup bag

Here are all things makeup that I took on a recent trip.  We went out of town to visit family for a week.  We were mostly sight seeing and spending time with family.  No need to any high glam makeup but I like to be prepared just in case something comes up...having your options open is a great feeling.  I also knew that there would be a lot of pictures taken since I was meeting my boyfriends family for the first time.  I didn't want to look bad in the photos.  To me there is nothing worse then being unprepared.

YSBB™ Your Skin But Better™ CC Cream with SPF 50+ and brush

    https://www.itcosmetics.com/your-skin-but-better-cc-cream-with-spf-50

First of all, have this in the color light. This CC Cream has blown me away.  I cannot tell you how much I love this stuff.  It has completely taken the place of any foundation that I have used.  At work I don't like to wear a lot of makeup.  This CC looks so natural that you cannot even tell I'm wearing it.  It has medium coverage which is great for me.  I like to be able to see freckles and other things through my makeup.  This never makes me look cakey and does not cling to any dry patches on my skin (which I have a lot of right now).  I have also noticed that it does not sit in my fine lines around my eyes.  This amazing CC not only has SPF 50, but is also contains anti-aging ingredients.  IT IS SO MULTI-FUNCTION!!  I like to use this as a moisturizer and usually apply it with my fingers.  I ordered mine of of QVC and it came with a brush that I also love.

Heavenly Luxe(TM) Plush Paddle Foundation Brush
This brush is amazing and always applies this CC with an airbrushed effect.  I totally recommend both of these products!!!

    Dosage changes:

First month was a smaller dose and after reacting well physically and having good lab work they upped the dosage.

Labs and my process so far:

    My first visit: pregnancy test

2 days before my medications started I had to get lab work and a pregnancy test done, after the labs came back good I was able to take the iPledge quiz and then get the prescription within 7 days of the labs.  The office then called to schedule an appointment for 1 month out.

2 days before my appointment I had to get more labs and a pregnancy test.  I then went to my appointment where they told me my labs were good and I was responding well to the medication.  They upped the dosage at this time.  They called in the meds and I took my iPledge quiz then picked up my meds within 7 days.  From the second month on it is 2 pills instead of just 1.  They scheduled another appointment for me 1 month out.

2 days before my appointment I got more labs and a pregnancy test done.  I went to my appointment and they said I was doing great.  They called in my prescription and said I did not have to do any more lab work because the dosage stays the same for the last 3 months.  I took the iPledge quiz and got the prescription.  They scheduled another appointment for me 1 month out.

I went into the next visit without doing lab work and they gave me a pregnancy test at the office.  My doctor looked at my skin and gave me a prescription for the next month.  I took the iPledge quiz and got the prescription.  They scheduled another appointment for me in 1 month.

The next visit was the same as before although this was my last visit.  I was told to take the last month of medication and then to go to get a pregnancy test done after finishing the medication and then also 30 days later.  I did so.

    DONE!!

    Throughout the process:

I have felt fine physically so far.  I have had no complications.  The only thing that has been a hassle and complaint is the dry skin and lips.  I have used mostly fragrance free/sensitive skin products for the entire time.  I use many different lip balms for dry cracked lips.  The doctor also prescribed a steroid cream for the cracks that I developed at the corners of my mouth (that stuff is a miracle worker…cracks were gone over night). I have never experienced dry skin this way before.  I usually have oily skin and this made it so I had to put regular moisturizers on my face.  I usually always used acne prone skin moisturizers with treatments in them.  It has been quite the lifestyle change.  It has also been pretty time consuming with all the lab work and doctor visits.  I have also suffered with very frequent nose bleeds from being so dry.  I'm talking 2 or 3 daily.  This is not a fun time and I always feel like my nose is raw inside.

Products I use and like the best:

Cetaphil facial cleanser and moisturizer, Eucerin moisturizer, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, Gold Bond Foot Lotion, Lypsyl Bee Smooth Lip Balm, Aquaphor Lip Treatment and Healing Ointment, Vaseline, lots of water

    Expensive

The dermatologist appointments, lab work, prescriptions….all very costly.

I plan on doing an update at the end when I can give a true opinion on how the medication works.  Thank you all for checking out my experience.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

THIS IS AMAZING!!!  If you take any advise from me at all take this!  I started using this as a night cream on my face about a month ago.  I LOVE IT.  I use it every night after cleansing and toning.  I normally have combination/acne prone skin.  In the winter it has been dry and terrible.  I have been having dry patches that my makeup clings to and I just start looking "crapey" throughout the day.  I have also been taking a prescription acne medication that dries out my skin like you wouldn't believe.  Even though I am on this medication, I still have breakouts.  This may be because it is not yet balanced.  Since using this as a night cream it has changed my skin.  I wake up in the morning with smooth clear skin everyday.  It's amazing.  I purchased this in a kit from Sephora and have only had a chance to try this product but I cannot wait to try more from this brand!

Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Pressed Bronzer

I have this bronzer in the Medium to Dark shade.  So far I have really enjoyed using this bronzer.  It does seem a bit dark for right now.  It comes off a little bit orange as a contour but blends out nicely.  It will be an amazing bronze color for summer months after a bit of tanning and self-tanning.  The packaging is a bit bulky because it allows extra room under the powder for the brush that is comes with.  I am not a fan of this brush.  The bristles seem to be very course and rough.  This bronzer is supposed to be infused with vitamins and moisturizers.  I do not notice any difference between this and other bronzers I have used as far as moisture goes.  It is also fragrance free.

I hope you find this helpful.  I think I would like to try the Light to Medium shade for winter months.  I will definitely get a lot of use out of this bronzer!

    Favorites for February 2014

This a little early but I have been using these products since the beginning of the year.  I have not had a chance to film a January Favorites video because of a hectic schedule.  These are some of my favorite things from the last month.  If you would like to hear more of my skincare journey and the medications I am on and have tried in the past let me know!
